About Us

Shaka Surf School was founded by Vasco Simas, born and raised in Guincho. It was the first beach on which he set foot and knows Guincho like the back of his hand. He started surfing and bodyboarding when he was little and learning how the ocean works made him a very reliable and experienced instructor.

Guincho is located in Cascais, about 5 km from the town center, in one of the most beautiful places in Portugal. With almost one kilometer of sand line, Guincho is one of the most emblematic beaches in our country and it's part of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park as one of the 7 wonders of Portugal.

A place known by Surfers, Windsurfers, and Kitesurfers. Guincho Beach is a big reference to everybody that loves the ocean. Its amazing conditions make this beach a destination you can not miss.
